Second Annual KIDS AGAINST HUNGER
SAVE THE DATE: Plan to Pack - FEB. 20, 2010
St. Martin’s youth will again participate in the Kids Against Hunger food pack. This year’s date has been set:
Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010. Our scheduled time for filling is 1:30 pm.
Diane Luedtke and Jennelle Cunning will be working with the youth on this project. Plans are underway for a SOUPER MEAL – watch for more details. Anyone interested in making their favorite soup for us; please let Jennelle or Diane know. We will provide the ingredients. M and M’s will again be available in containers that can be filled with quarters to support Kids Against Hunger.
The Sheltering Arms Foundation provided a $700 grant to St. Martin’s to be used for the Kids Against Hunger project. Mother Winnie and Jennelle will attend a “grantee/advocacy” seminar sponsored by Sheltering Arms in January. A spokesperson from Sheltering Arms will be at St. Martin’s on January 10th.
